WHAT YOU’RE ACTUALLY GETTING

Technology should hold up on the days that matter most. We keep it monitored, patched, backed up, and tested so it does.

Managed & Monitored

Runs in the background. You never think about it.

Most IT problems announce themselves long before anybody notices. A drive reports errors for weeks before it fails. A disk fills up gradually. Security software switches itself off after an update and stays off.

Having someone watching means those get dealt with while they are still small — usually without anyone in your office knowing there was anything to deal with. That is the entire point of this service: the months where you never hear from us are the months it is working.

How it works

  1. We install a small agent

A small piece of software goes on each computer and server. It reports health continuously and lets us work on the machine remotely, without anyone having to sit at it.

  2. We set the baseline

Patching schedules, security software and backup jobs get configured the same way on every machine, and written down. Consistency is what makes the rest of it possible.

  3. Alerts come to us

When something goes wrong, we hear about it rather than you. No dashboard for your staff to watch and no alert emails to ignore.

  4. We fix it, and tell you what mattered

Most alerts are handled quietly. The ones that need a decision from you — a drive that is going to fail, a server running out of room — arrive with a recommendation and a rough cost.

What’s included

24/7 monitoring and alerting

You hear about problems from us, not from a member of staff who has already lost a morning. A small piece of software on every covered machine reports disk space, drive health, services that have stopped and security software that has switched itself off — continuously, day and night. Most alerts are dealt with before anyone in your office notices anything was wrong.

Windows and third-party patching

Most break-ins start with software somebody forgot to update. Windows is the obvious part, and everyone does Windows. The gap is everything else: browsers, PDF readers, Java, Zoom. Those get skipped, and that is usually where the hole is.

Updates do not go out to everyone at once. A small group gets them first. If nothing breaks, the rest follow in a scheduled window, so nobody loses work at three in the afternoon. Tax software, practice management and imaging systems break on updates more than anything else, so we hold those back and test them first.

Endpoint security (EDR)

Ransomware gets stopped by how it behaves, not by whether anyone has seen it before. EDR stands for endpoint detection and response: software on every computer that watches for the behaviour of an attack — a program suddenly encrypting hundreds of files, for instance — rather than only recognising viruses already on a list. That is what catches things nobody has encountered yet.

If a machine starts behaving as though it has been compromised, it can be cut off from the rest of your network immediately, so one infected laptop does not become your whole office. No product prevents everything; this works because it sits alongside patching, multi-factor authentication and a backup you can actually restore from.

Managed backup with monthly test restore

A backup you have never tested is a guess. Every month we restore a real file from your backup, confirm it opens correctly, and send you the result in writing. So if a server fails on a Tuesday, we already know the recovery works.

Copies are encrypted and one is kept off-site, separate from your network — a backup an attacker can reach with the same stolen password is not a backup, it is a second copy of the problem. Ask any provider you are considering for the date of their last successful test restore. The good ones answer immediately.

What this means for you

Fewer interruptions

Problems get handled while they are small, so your team keeps working instead of standing around a machine that will not start.

A budget you can plan

Ageing hardware is flagged months ahead, so replacing a server becomes a line in next year's budget rather than an emergency invoice.

It is somebody's job

Monitoring, patching, security and backup stop being tasks that get done when someone remembers. They are owned, and they are documented.

Support & Administration

The human side, when you need someone.

Some things cannot be automated. Somebody has to answer when a partner cannot open a file an hour before a deadline, set up the laptop for the new hire starting Monday, and shut off the accounts of the person who left last week.

This is the part of the job your staff actually see. It is also the part that quietly disappears at most firms, because it lands on whoever is best with computers rather than on anyone whose job it is.

How it works

  1. Your staff contact us directly

Not through an office manager acting as a switchboard. The person with the problem describes the problem.

  2. We work on it remotely

The agent installed during onboarding means we can see and fix the machine without anyone driving anywhere.

  3. Anything out of scope gets quoted first

Projects, migrations and onsite work get a written estimate before the work starts. You never see a line item you did not agree to.

What’s included

Unlimited remote helpdesk

Your staff can ask for help as often as they need to, and nobody is counting. They contact us directly and covered problems get fixed remotely — the printer, a mailbox that will not sync, a file someone deleted, a laptop that will not connect from home.

There is no per-ticket charge, and that matters more than it sounds. When people are billed per ticket they stop reporting small things, and small things are how you find the big ones early.

Microsoft 365 administration

Somebody owns your Microsoft 365 setup, so accounts and access stop drifting. That covers user accounts, licences, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and who can see what in Teams and SharePoint.

Multi-factor authentication — the code on your phone as well as your password — gets set up properly and stays on. It is the single most effective protection against a stolen password, and the most common thing we find switched off because it annoyed somebody once. We also review your licence count, because firms routinely pay for seats belonging to people who left two years ago.

Vendor coordination

Your office manager stops being the go-between. When something breaks between your internet provider, the copier company, the phone system or the vendor behind the software that runs your business, we open the ticket, wait on hold, and give their support team the technical detail they need.

The honest limit: we cannot force a vendor to fix their own product, and we do not manage your contracts, billing or renewals. The technical conversation is ours. The commercial relationship stays yours.

What this means for you

Your staff stop being the IT department

The person who fixed the printer once gets to go back to the job you actually hired them for.

Someone who knows your setup

The person who answers has seen your systems before, so nobody has to explain the network from scratch every time something goes wrong.

You stop chasing vendors

The internet provider, the copier company and the software vendor all become our phone calls instead of yours.

Who this is for

  • You are growing and IT has not kept up. More people, more machines, and nobody whose job it is to manage them.
  • Too much of the week goes to IT problems. Someone on your team is troubleshooting instead of doing what you hired them for.
  • You want advice on what to buy. Which software, which hardware, what to upgrade and what to skip.
  • You need someone who responds quickly. When work stops, waiting is the expensive part.
